Donation in Brussels

On the morning of the match against Belgium in Brussels, the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal donated (the equivalent of) £1500 to UZ Brussel. This is a Hospital with a Children’s facility. We donated directly to the Children’s facility.

Sarah Candaele from the unit says:- “Our job is to provide mental and psychological support to children with cancer and their families. With our a.w.l.p Child, Parents, Cancer we buy toys, books and art-materials for hospitalised children and we organise family-trips and parent meetings. For children with other diseases we have a recreation room. Those two projects are constantly searching for financial support, so your organisation can be sure that the donation will be well spent.

A small group of fans (including some from Cloverleaf Tartan Army) visited the unit and presented the cheque.

Report on the donation can be found here

Donation in Cardiff

On the morning of the match against Wales in Cardiff, the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal made a donation of £1500 to The Noah’s Ark Appeal (the Official Charity of the Children’s Hospital for Wales).

They had graciously invited 8 Scotland fans along to see some of their work. All of the eight places were taken up. We thank those who took time out of their matchday celebrations to help with this donation.

A report on the donation will appear as soon as a certain someone has written it!!

The Harry Wraggs

Many thanks to The Harry Wraggs Tartan Army, and in particular to Craig Walker, for the Quiz Night that they organised for last night in the Iron Horse in Glasgow.

Thanks to them, and of course to the people who were there, the Sunshine Appeal funds have been increased by a magnificent £1125.

A tremendous effort by everyone – and one that the Sunshine Appeal is profoundly grateful for.
