The Sunshine Appeal doesn’t really “do” events. Events are something that our supporters do on our behalf. Examples can be sponsored walks, sponsored cycles, dinners, donations from match-day swallys, quiz nights, race nights, raffles, auctions, collections on buses or planes, etc.
An example of an event run by a Scotland fan who supports the Sunshine Appeal is a fundraising lunch hosted recently at the Tyneside Tavern in Haddington.
In May of this year, Neil Forbes who owns the pub and is a seldom-miss at Scotland matches, organised the lunch with guest speakers and auction items.
All in all the event raised £3500 which Neil donated to Sunshine Appeal funds.
