A group of Scotland supporters known as “Team Aching Soles” have signed up to take part in The Kiltwalk to raise money for charities, including TASA.
The group, which consists of David Maclennan. Douglas Noon, Rob Gilchrist, Paul Smith, Bryan Brown, George Corner (junior and senior!), Stewart Maclennan, June Callison, Graeme Shinnie, Monica Devlin, Clark Gillies, Neil McDonald, Thomas Stewart, John Daly, Marion Daly, MacMirza and Graeme Baxter nominated the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal as their nominated charity, meaning 50% of the proceeds raised by the group will assist with future Sunshine Appeal projects.
Aching Soles, whose members are based across Scotland, England and even Sarajevo will be training hard for the event, with some members veterans of previous kiltwalks and other “victims” taking part for the very first time.
The Kiltwalk’s 26 mile route runs from Hampden Park to Loch Lomond Shores on Sunday 8th April 2012.
Funds raised also support Aberlour, CHAS, Clic Sargent, TACC and the Kiltwalk Trust Fund.
